Kelton Research, the nation’s fastest growing polling and survey firm, is looking to hire a project manager/Editor for its Polling for PR division in the New York office.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Project Manager/Editor is responsible for overseeing and executing Polling for PR client projects from beginning to end. This includes creating survey questions that will return interesting, attention-getting results, working closely with clients to help them meet their strategic goals, and creating all client deliverables. This includes our NewsWorthy Analysis, a creative final report written in the language of a news story or press release. Individuals with broad interests who enjoy a mix of creative work and project management will thrive.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Ability to write in a concise and creative manner, and edit documents with a critical eye.

-While we will train you, comfort with simple number crunching and analytics is key. Candidates must have a close attention to detail and be able to carefully proof data reports for accuracy and written reports for grammar and narrative flow.

-Understanding of and excitement about marketing, public relations, and market research. Savvy about all types of media, current events, and pop culture.

-Ability to multi-task, accommodate tight deadlines, quickly prioritize, and juggle a variety of projects. Experience coordinating timelines and needs of various parties, including vendors, clients, and your own team members.

-Experience dealing directly with clients and addressing their needs & requests in a timely manner. Interest in business development and growing relationships – prior business development experience is not required but helpful.

-Willingness to pitch in and work as part of a team, yet be comfortable working independently too.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in public relations or journalism required, though we are interviewing more senior candidates. Former market research or survey writing experience is not required, but is helpful.

EDUCATION:

BA/BS degree or equivalent required.
