Web 2.0 / Digital Guru (Work from Home)

New York based strategic communications firm seeks Web 2.0 master to manage a comprehensive digital campaign for a growing nonprofit client. You can work from anywhere provided you get the work done.

Must be extraordinarily well versed in everything from social media to digital PR (blogger relations, etc.), blogging, social news, SEO. Should have experience in a PR capacity, read Micropersuasion, etc. Programming acumen a nice bonus, but not required. Excellent writer is a must.

Note, since this is a nonprofit client, compensation for this part-time position is capped at 1k/month. However, we're a growing organization, and looking to cultivate a long-term relationship with an outstanding digital PR maven (on corporate and nonprofit accounts).

Associate Editor - Temp

What You'll Do:

Write and edit print and interactive marketing and corporate communications materials

Work collaboratively with and act as liaison to the design, web production, print production, and sales/marketing teams

Act as editorial project manger for the creation of web content, e-mails, brochures, invitations, and targeted marketing campaigns

Coordinate the maintenance of corporate web sites


Requirements:

BA/BS in English, Journalism, Communications, or similar field

4+ years experience editing/writing for a print or web content provider

Knowledge of the business application software and technology industries, as well as marketing communications and copywriting standards

Exceptional line editing and copywriting skills as well as a strong sense of what works online

Strong writing skills, including the ability to take raw copy and turn it into clear, concise prose under deadline pressure

Proven ability to take a concept or idea and write a variety of content

Superior focus and attention to detail; excellent organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, ever-changing environment

Knowledge of the Chicago Manual style rules

Working knowledge of both Mac and Windows-based environments, Web production, as well as familiarity with MS Office, InDesign, and Photoshop
