Online Community Manager (Lower East Side)

Our growing website is looking for a part-time online community manager to interact with members, launch new marketing campaigns, publicize events, manage advertising, generate new content, create buzz, drive web traffic, and more. We are an online social network targeted to design, construction, and real estate professionals.

The ideal candidate would excel in written/verbal communication, copywriting, web research, data analysis, marketing and promotion, and project management. Past experience working with an internet-based business is ideal. You need to be a self-starter and be able to run and manage your own work. You need to have the ability to multitask and manage changing priorities. Daily marketing and community building initiatives required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and run promotional ad campaigns
- Manage current advertisers and ad placements online
- Promote and manage events online
- Create email campaigns and grow membership
- Interact with members and facilitate connections
- Promote new features and tools
- Set up Group and Company pages and manage relationships
- Develop relationships with other partner sites
- Perform special projects and duties as assigned
(Note: In all cases you would be required to track, measure, and analyze performance.)

Preferred qualifications:
• Previous experience with launching/managing online products or services
• Previous experience in planning, implementing, and managing online marketing
• Extensive knowledge of social networking sites
• Knowledge of leading Web Analytics and SEO tools
• Exposure to the design/construction/real estate industry

This is a part-time position. Schedule is flexible. Our office is located in the LES. Interested candidates should submit their resume, summary of qualifications, and hourly rate requirements.

You will report directly to the founder and CEO, but you will be expected to work independently and create your own initiatives. This is a newly formed position and it is an opportunity for you to define your own goals. Performance-based results will be the basis for evaluation.

Right now our need is for a part-time person but we expect this to turn to full-time in the future.

Requirements

* Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
* Certified Google Advertising Professional is a plus
* Bachelor’s degree

Copy Writer

I am developing a new company in the pet food industry, and I am in the proces of building my website as well as finalizing the packaging. I am looking for someone to write my company statements on the website and a great mission statement on the packaging. You must have great writing skills whose style is witty, personable, fun, and to the point. I would prefer it if you have experience in the pet industry writing for their packaging and/or websites.
