Currently we are seeking a Senior Copywriter- directv.com to help build a world class web site in our New York office.
Essential job function: You will develop, write, edit and coordinate the production of original hard hitting, compelling web content on DIRECTV.com. Content will include promotional units, banners, feature stories, how to’s, interviews and other content as required. You must be ready to contribute ideas for new types of content and ways of showcasing it. This role will work closely with web designers and producers, as well as individual business units. Must be a team player.
Specific roles and responsibilities include:
·Support the online production team with daily/weekly copy edits to DIRECTV.com.
·Write/edit copy for new content and functionality pages with minimal supervision.
·Proofread the work of other writers for accuracy in terms of content, style and usage.
·Translate business unit and customer experience objectives into effective messaging that helps drive sales and marketing results.
·Ensure consistency between online and offline messaging to maximize message recall.
·Develop copy that conforms to layout and other design restrictions yet maintains the consistent voice and style of the website.
·Write e-newsletters, banners and other e-mail marketing communications.
Qualifications include:
·4+ years experience writing and editing marketing/advertising copy under quick deadlines for an Internet-based audience.
·Attention to detail and deadline-oriented is a must.
·Self-starter with team orientation. Ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and flexible environment.
·Bachelor's Degree required- Preferred Majors: English or Journalism.
·Experience with Interwoven’s TeamSite content management tool, HitBox web analytics, and Microsoft Project is highly desirable.
·Marketing, Sales, High-Tech and Entertainment experience a plus.
