Opening:
Plain English writer and content analyst for major branding firm with unique Simplification practice.

Location:
Manhattan; periodic travel to clients.

Role:
Participate as part of a team of information designers and writers who analyze, simplify, write and design content in both hard-copy and online formats. Applicant must be an excellent business writer and interviewer.

Job entails analyzing how well current information formats are meeting audience needs and developing alternative communications strategies to address communications gaps. Individual will structure and write forms, handbooks, instructions, notices, letters and marketing materials as well as develop online content. Individual will also help to develop and present work to clients as well as ensuring overall quality.

Job also involves analyzing business processes that affect the gathering, accessing and distribution of information. Ability to determine ROI for process changes essential.

Experience requirement:
College or graduate degree in writing with 5+ years experience. Academic or work background in journalism, technical or professional writing a plus. Concentration in financial services, health care and telecommunications helpful. Appreciation for graphic design essential.

Skills requirement:
Exceptional writing ability, attention to detail, balance of strategy and execution, ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
