The Lower East Side Harm Reduction Center (LESHRC)) is a community based organization whose mission is to reduce drug related harm among drug users and their partners.

The LESHRC is seeking a motivated and committed person to conduct outreach to young high methamphetamine users. Hours are flexible. However, the person must be able to work evenings. This is an exciting opportunity to help reduce HIV rates among methamphetamine users and connect them to drug counseling and/or drug treatment services. The position is a part-time (15 hrs a week), hours are flexible, and the annual salary is $ 14,500.

We are looking to hire someone who has personal or professional experience dealing with young users of methamphetamine. This includes knowledge of the best locations to conduct outreach and familiarity with methamphetamine related issues. The person must be familiar with harm reduction practices.

Candidates must be hardworking, highly motivated, able to work independently, reliable and comfortable working with diverse populations. This person will report directly to the agency’s Deputy Executive Director.
