TheStreet.com is searching for a Manager, Content and Community to serve as the day-to-day liaison between our editorial department and the various portals, content, and partner sites on the web in order to drive traffic to TheStreet.com’s family of web sites. Working closely with the editorial and business development departments, the Manager will facilitate content selection and proactive delivery to the partners and monitor the impact on business. Additionally, the Manager will help drive the growth of TheStreet.com’s extension into social media efforts including mobile, blogs, community, and syndication; in essence, this individual is responsible for driving the evolution, adoption and overall success of the social media products.
Responsibilities:
• Become an in-house content expert, understanding depth of content available across TheStreet.com’s network of sites (this includes monitoring daily editorial schedules as well as knowledge of evergreen content).
• Serve as point of contact for all editorial communications between TheStreet.com and syndication partners.
• Analyze partnerships with metrics and reporting staff to identify most effective ways of reaching TheStreet.com’s and the partner’s goals (this includes editorial brainstorming and pitching internally as well as to partners).
• Be well versed in contract agreements and identify when any deliverables are not being met.
• Advise and work with product development staff on social media trends or applications that could be applied to the business.
• Work across departments to troubleshoot any technical issues.
• Manage Business Operations Associate and the feed monitoring.
• Report on traffic improvements from social media and portal development on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Closely monitor consumer behavior, market trends, and competitor activities in the social media space.
Requirements:
• BA/BS.
• Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Keen editorial sensibility.
• Understanding of TheStreet.com’s full breadth of editorial assets and the best way to “merchandise” them to partners.
• Understanding of the editorial needs of various partners.
• Entrepreneurial spirit to help pitch new content packages to partners.
• Exceptional project management, organization, and process management skills.
